3Director uses the iPhone® built-in accelerometer and camera, at the same time, to let you follow a performer movement on a stage.
Just frame the performer for five seconds then start to follow him moving the iPhone. The accelerometers will detect the movement of the device in any directions and the software will translate them in MIDI messages. The MIDI messages will be sent, via Wi-Fi, to a server application located on a computer.
3Director Server application can support up to eight different devices.
3Director can be used also without the camera option, so in 2D, but still sending XY rotation and YZ rotation.
3Director is a commercial application available on the iPhone® App Store only. Tap into the App Store and you’ll find applications in every category—from games to business, education to entertainment, productivity to social networking. Applications for iPhone take advantage of its groundbreaking features such as Multi-Touch, GPS, and the accelerometer. And they can all be downloaded wirelessly to your iPhone®.
3Director Server is a freeware available for download on this site.
